What up fam, I’m bringing you one of my recent go-to recipes for overnight oats. It’s delicious, doofus-proof and lazy AF. If you want to heat this up one mornin, that works too. Just heat up milk, zest, vanilla, anise, cinnamon stick, dried fruit and sweetener in a saucepan and add the oats once it comes to boil. Lower or turn off the heat until oats are tender and has absorbed some or most of the milk.
Ingredients (Serves 2):
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 2 cups of milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1/4 cup of dried cranberries
- 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 piece of star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- zest of of 1/2 an orange ( lemon, mandarins and tangerines also work really well)
Before you go to sleep dump everything into a container and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Top with granola or nuts before demolishing.
