I have a very soft place in my heart for Chinese noodles. When my friend invited my Queens butt to Bwooklyn I was like nah but then she said noodles and then I was like…iiiiiiiiii.

Nestled in the Chinatown section of Sunset Park lies Yun Nan Flavor Garden, which is a classic, New Yawk Chinese staple; no-frills, not fancy, tables, seats and food. Dassit. Lack of decor and smiles are easily made up in flavor and price. I ordered the Rice Noodle with Spicy Meat Sauce along with cold sliced cucumber salad which was drizzled in a sexy hot chili oil. Super yummy. I wish the noodle was a tad bit spicier as it isn’t that spicy. My friends and I described it as “gateway spicy”; perfect for when your taste buds are cynical and you want to get your non-spicy friend to the dark red side.
